These headbands feature authentic tatreez embroidery, bringing traditional patterns into everyday wear. Comfortable, stylish, and meaningful, they’re a subtle yet powerful way to carry Palestinian heritage with you.
Ola, a former women’s rights lawyer with a Master’s in International Law, lost her home, her work, and the life she built when her family’s properties in northern Gaza were destroyed — a shattering that left her saying, “I learned justice is a lie.” In Cairo, she reclaimed the one inheritance that could not be taken from her: Tatreez, the ancestral language of Palestinian women, which she now practices and teaches through her collective, Folklore. With SafeGrow’s support, Ola has transformed this heritage into a livelihood for herself and other displaced women, reimagining traditional stitching for modern life while keeping culture, memory, and dignity intact.
